Expected rubbish from the last few wickets. Now watch our quicks get thrashed and Australia to lead within 8 overs? Unless Jadeja or Kuldeep do something magical, Australia are going to win this.

Nair is continuing to be a waste of space , both with batting and dropped catches- he's just let off Warner. Well done :damn:

Why is the a**hat still fielding at 3rd slip after dropping Warner the second time? Nobody ever has fielded in slip before from this team? Stupidity of enormous proportions by the team. Kohli would possibly have moved him out after the second drop of the match.

We got this and also Renshaw before Aus got to 32...now for not allowing the rest to score freely and bundle them as quickly as possible...

92/5 at tea, as the spin twins pick up a wicket each.

I have never seen Aussie batsmen so rattled by Indian pace. This is like the WACA or Sabina Park of old. Crazy that this is an Indian pitch!!

Umesh needs to bowl again after tea, perhaps Bhuvi too.

Anything above 150 on this wicket will be pretty hard to get, I think. India has to mow through the tail. Otherwise, this match will be gone. Maybe 130 and over will be hard in innings 4 if the pitch breaks up more.

People who were comparing Karun to Rahane. Rahane is an excellent slip-fielder. There is no comparison. If their batting is close, keeping Rahane is a no-brainer. Of course, as Kumble said, we have not forgotten what Rahane has done abroad. And, we should not.

Purely in terms of pace, rarely have we had multiple pacers who could bowl above 140. Nowadays, we have many bowlers who do that. None of them are that consistent. Umesh is getting there hopefully. Zaheer was like Umesh in his first 30-35 tests --- mercurial, erratic, but taking wickets to hang on.

I would start with Jadeja and Ashwin to see if they can get the tail cheaply. That is because the pitch is become one of variable bounce --- aka Ashwin-Jadeja time. And, because the spinners will give away less runs than the medium pacers.

Yes we should keep Ashwin and Jadeja to start with , let's hope we get Maxwell out in first couple of overs ...We should target to bundle them out around 140-150 max

Even 120 might be too many on this pitch and with our batting
