Kohli is simply a master batsman in limited overs internationals -- the greatest of all time, in my view. The craft of threading the field has become an art form in his incredible hands (and especially wrists!). Absolutely sublime innings again under pressure.

Very nice to see Yuvraj playing the perfect foil. Raina, Rohit and Dhawan are becoming headaches for the team management.

I don't think Dhoni read the pitch wrong: it was turning too much, so I think he decided not to risk over-bowling the spinners. I agree that Ashwin should nonetheless have bowled his full quota, and Raina should've had another over at the expense of Pandya.

Ravi Shastri needs to be told that India doesn't need rank turners to win the tournament; instead these types of wickets are making matches highly risky affairs.

The real shocker yesterday was that our women lost to Pakistan.

I would say Dhoni's men are still favourites to reach the semi-finals and maybe even have a good chance of winning the tournament. Been impressed with New Zealand. Fair play to New Zealand, they've looked good but things can turn pretty quickly in this format of cricket. Now we've managed to get our footing again after that display against Pakistan, I'm really looking forward to the Aussie match. Bangladesh should be a formality I hope, now we've been woken up a bit and aren't taken it for granted.

In this format one needs to be careful. Look at todays match against Afghanistan. England almost chocked.

Yuvraj was the difference between 155 and this total. He just could not get it going. Kohli and Dhawan played very slowly too.

Bangladesh (who bat deep) are in the driving seat, with 17 runs needed off the last 2 overs (with 4 wickets in hand, including all rounder Shuvogoto Hom). And Pandya bowling the final over is ultra-risky!!

Mushi hits two consecutive boundaries to bring BD very close, requiring 2 runs from 3 balls...

But back to back wickets for Pandya. Both Mushi and Mahmadullah are gone now...

2 to get from the last ball... Nail biting stuff this....

BD pair was trying to steal a bye off of the last ball, but Dhoni ran in to break the stumps...

Indian win..... woohoo

Phew!! India win by 1 run, with wickets off the last 3 balls!! Utterly improbable end.

The Bangladeshis choked there -- a lot like the South Africans against Australia in 1999.

I do not recall anything like this (3 wickets in the last 3 balls to win a match by 1 run). I have possibly been following cricket for the last 30-35 years.

I guess India will now have to beat Australia to progress as I suspect the tie-breakers are probably not in our favor. Kudos to the Indian team to hang in there and pull out an improbable win in the last 3 balls!

Yes, thanks to the big loss to NZ, we have a poor NRR. So the match against Australia is effectively a QF for India.
