The reason for this point system is to fuse classical game points with rapid games point to determine overall tournament winner. The rapid games being weighted at half of classical games,

With all three games drawn, Anand wins the classical section of the tournament. Congratulations! This was impressive win!

Yeah, what is the world coming to? If rational numbers are a problem, what does one do with irrational numbers? Should one legislate that Pi=3?. ;-)

LOL! Well my opinion is that that the world is still OK and coexist harmoniously with irrational numbers, however, the bigger problem is what do you do with irrational people? ;)
Anyway, the chess world will be back in order today itself with fractions back in rapid games. The rapid games score will be added to the existing tally from classical games to determine the overall tournament winner.
