Sumit has 24 points dropping for rest of the year while Prajnesh has as many as 50. Both have got 7 so far this week. Need to rack up points in next few weeks to make for those falling out and add further.

He must have entered somewhere else as well. But he'll play in Australia only.

Yes, he had entered Morocco futures in the same week as first priority but has already withdrawn from there. So, he will continue in Australia. It may have been his initial decision to enter Morocco futures as first priority not knowing that time he will also make the cut for the challenger in Australia.

In the end very good decision to play 3 weeks in Australia.

Sumit has withdrawn from the Indonesia Futures he had entered for the week of 28th November, as reported in some other thread.

Sumit is at a new career high of 334 this week. But, again he has 17 points falling off this year. So, if he does not play anywhere this year, he will fall outside top 350 in the year end rankings.

Schüttler Waske Tennis-University has posted a video on their FB page of Sumit exercising in their Gym doing rehab to recover from his shoulder injury. Wish him a speedy recovery and early return to the circuit. :goodluck:

I had posted this in davis cup thread -

As of now Sumit is still listed to play in next week's India F5 at Bangalore. Schuttler Waske guys had also posted a video of him few days back of him practising hard. Probably he does not to risk davis cup at this stage and first wants to stabilise on pro tour.

Now, Sumit has withdrawn from next 2 weeks India futures. So, it seems he is still not ready to get back on tour. He seemed to be practising hard in that video which his academy put about 20 days back. Not sure what happened now. :-(

It does looks like Sumit will finally be back playing from next week in Tunisia $15K futures on clay. He is there in the entry list for next couple of weeks too.

Hope for a successful return for him after about 4 and half months break.

Maybe a week of $15k and then stepping up is not bad after a long injury break.

Sumit returns after a 4 month break. More pressure being the top seed of his first ITF this year.

At $15K Tunisia Futures (CLAY)

[1] Sumit NAGAL (377) vs Ugo HUMBERT (FRA,781)

Last week, TU's another player Petra Martic returned to the pro tour winning a title as a qualifier in $25,000 Santa Margherita Di Pula ITF. Let's see if Sumit can emulate the same success :D :goodluck:

Sumit lost in first round. :-(

At $15K Tunisia F14 Futures, Hammamet

[R1] Sumit NAGAL (IND,377) l. Ugo HUMBERT (FRA,781) 67(4) 46

Tough return for Sumit. Hope he does better in the next couple of weeks.
