Maybe Sumit withdrew from Nigeria because he got a MD WC for the Vietnam Challenger. Quite possible!

Nope, not possible. As per rules, he cannot withdraw from one tournament where he was in the final entry list and play in another tournament in same week.

9 more weeks to go before AO qualifying cut off date. Next 2 weeks are gone for Sumit now with him withdrawing from Nigeria futures. 7 weeks left after that. About 85 to 95 points needed in about 5-6 weeks of play (considering that Sumit cannot play all 7 weeks).

Chances are almost gone. No big point tournaments after mid-November. He needs to reach the finals of the Pune CH at the least to be honest if that is his next tournament.

I agree. I think realistic aim now would be finish the year in top 300. About 60 points needed for that which is gettable. Will still need couple of good weeks to achieve that.

Sumit is still in the EL for the Ningbo Challenger next week. Was he in the final EL of the 2nd week in Nigeria too? Cause if not, he might be playing in Ningbo

Yes, he was. Have a look at this Nigeria F6 futures entry list -

Nigeria F6 Futures entry list

He is shown as LWM i.e late withdrawal from main draw. Withdrawal deadline was 4th October and he withdrew from 5th October, 2016.

So, he cannot play anywhere next week too.

Sumit and Prajnesh are in the entry list of $50K challenger in Canberra in the week of October 31 ( week after Pune challenger). Balaji is 2 out from the main draw and VSP is 6 out.

This is a good choice of tournament for Sumit. That is probably the reason he withdrew from Nigeria futures as he may not want to play non-stop without a break ( and perhaps also to arrange for visa and all which may not have been possible from Nigeria).

There are a couple of $50K challengers in Japan in 2 weeks after that. Not sure if Prajnesh/Sumit can make the main draw there. Else, they can continue in Australia and play couple of $25K futures in the week of Nov. 7/14.

Sumit is going to continue in Australia after the Canberra challenger.

So his schedule will be
Oct 30: Canberra 50k CH (Balaji also joins him and Prajnesh here)
Nov 7: Wollongong 25k F (Balaji stays and Sanam joins, Prajnesh has withdrawn)
Nov 14: Blackwell 25k F

Prajnesh is 5 out of the MD in Kobe so probably thinking he can get in there. Both Sumit and Prajnesh have significant points dropping off in November and December so need to make some big runs somewhere to have any hopes of AO qualifying.
