Nice win for KU. No break points on his serve throughout the match. He just did enough to win the match -- he won 78 points while his opponent won only 68.

Yes, good win against a decent player.

Next,

At $10K Cambodia F2 futures, Phnom Penh

[QF] Karunuday SINGH (IND,522) vs. Dekel BAR (ISR,821)

The Isarali player upset 3rd Takuto Niki in the second round but still hoping KU would get the better of him.

KU retired at 67 14 down. I hope no recurrence of injury.

He is in the entry list of $15K in Thailand next week and in $10K futures in Qatar the week after.

KU is slipped down in the singles rankings to 631.

He will start his 2015 stint with $10K ITF Futures in Iranian clay series commencing from next week - Jan 12th. :goodluck:

Surprising that Karunuday chose Kyoto over Kolkata.

His matches are tomorrow.

Because he got in directly. At Kolkata, he would had to go thru qualies. Still quite enterprising of him to travel from Delhi to Kyoto and back for Chandigarh futures next week. Tough draw though to take advantage of that.

His decisions have always been wavy. He quit college tennis after a fight with his team... ever since he hasn't been that consistent either
