So, we have a stronger contingent from second week onwards with RamK, Sanam and Rishab getting in.

Quite surprising to see RamK entered here the week after French open qualies. He continues to surprise us with his scheduling.

PKB, hope to see you to visit here and give us some reports. :D

RamK is on a purple patch. It is ridiculous to see him not take chances at this juncture and chase bigger points in the Challenger circuit. This guy never ceases to surprise (or get on nerves) :)

Yes International Tennis returns to Singapore after a long time ,after a decade or so if I recollect correctly
Before they use to have an annual challenger , which Ramesh ,Vijay, Anand , Zeeshan use to support regularly
For Ram it is more of a family reunion in Singapore rather than Tennis as :D

I will try visiting either in the first or second week, assuming the Indians go deep.
We had the Singapore Challenger until 2010, a year when Yuki came close to beating Yen-Hsun Lu in a match I reported on here.

There were as many as 6 Indians in the qualifying draw but none could qualify thru which is disappointing. Lets hope better results in main draw although Japanese will be tough.

The utter futility of the Indian contingent (at a $15K Futures, the lowest level international tournament) continues:

Dalwinder SINGH lost to Kento TAKEUCHI [2] 46 46
Sidharth RAWAT [7] lost to Sho KATAYAMA 46 26
Karunuday SINGH lost to Soichiro MORITANI 57 36

VSP and his Vietnamese partner (the top seeds) won their doubles R1. VSP is the only Indian still to play his singles R1 match, and thus is the only one still in the singles draw.

No play today because of relentless and heavy rain. VSP plays his R1 singles at 11am tomorrow, weather permitting.

Good to see VSP save the Indian contingent's honour by getting past R1! (In both singles and doubles).
Dalwinder Singh and Siddharth Rawat are about to begin their R1 doubles match against the 3rd seeds.

VSP's R2 match is interrupted (by rain?) and it is on serve in the decider with VSP to serve at 2-3. I expect that he will have to play two matches tomorrow.
