Prajnesh-Vishnu scored an upset win over top-seed Podlipnik-Castillo and Vasilevski for entering into the final ... After winning the first set in tie-break our pair lost the second but they recovered in the match tie-break for winning it comfortably ... Next, they r facing Grigelis-Kolar, who proved too strong for RamK-Toshihide.

Good run by Vishnu and Prajnesh. Prajnesh hardly plays doubles at all. So, this run will hopefully help him make improvements on his singles game.

But, this is a good result in particular for Vishnu who does not seem to have too much left in singles. So, a boost in ranking will help him be a regular in doubles on challenger circuit to start with.

Yes, this is good for Vishnu, taking him to 205 in the live doubles rankings. Winning the title will propel him to 191, close to his career high of 180. Vishnu should have become a doubles specialist at least a couple of years ago.
