Re: Roland Garros 2017

His return of serves are his biggest strength, but that might be blunted against really big servers on grass. I don't think I agree. He does have an above average return of serve, but I think Yuki's biggest strength is point construction at high pace. This is why I don't expect him to do well on gr...

Re: Roland Garros 2017

Some of the discussion above is pretty ill-informed when you account for the fact that clay isn't a particularly good surface for Yuki on his current fitness and recovery state. Thank you. Let's go further - clay isn't a particularly good surface for Yuki period. I don't expect grass to be particul...

Re: Indian Premier League (IPL)

I know there are no better alternatives & I know this is part of the game, but seeing any LO game decided based on these hugely reduced targets just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. And I support Mumbai, so had no dogs in the fight between Hyderabad & Kolkata. Just wish they had a reserve day...

Re: Turn pro at 18 yrs or go to US college on tennis scholarship

I don't know too much about Alex Solanki, and I wish him nothing but the best. But, why would anyone donate money based on that website? There are zero plans and zero details. What will he do with the money? Hire a coach? A physio? Buy equipment? Pay for travel? How much would each of those cost? Ri...

Which players from that squad would Unadkat or Kuldeep replace? Shami & Mishra?

Re: Davis Cup 2017 - India

I don't know how much "experiential benefit" comes from being slaughtered. A tough loss, sure, but a total annihilation not so much.

I'm hoping for either Japan or possibly Canada at home if Raonic doesn't play...

Re: Davis Cup 2017 - India

Full list of promoted teams:

India, Kazakhstan, Hungary, Netherlands, Belarus, Portugal, Brazil, Colombia

I am really hoping we creep into that 8th seed, because there are some beatable teams here. Certainly looks much tamer than the R1 losers.

Switzerland without the big 2 and Japan without Nishikori are possible wins, although not likely.
