Re: Ramkumar Ramanathan thread

RamK get to play the lone seed remaining in the top half of the draw, 4th seed Guido Andreozzi. A win would have him playing an unseeded player in the SF.

[QF] Ramkumar Ramanathan (IND, 264) vs (4) Guido Andreozzi (ARG, 125)

Re: Ramkumar Ramanathan thread

Looks like RamK's improved backhand is helping him win matches. He now needs to come up with a string of wins at this level. This is a good start.

Vatsal reached the final of the Goa State Tennis championship last week. He beat the second seed along the way. Congratulations to Vatsal and hope he goes one better next time around.

Re: ITF Women Circuit, Thailand- April/May 2017

I wish Ankita had spent an extra week in Thailand. She needs more wins in 2017 and a 15K tournament would be perfect tuning for a 25K tournament in the following week.

Re: Taiwan/China/Korea Challengers- April/May 2017

RamK lost the tie-breaker and the match. However, he played well and his backhand has gotten better -- sliced cheese was not on display that often.

Re: Taiwan/China/Korea Challengers- April/May 2017

From 0-30 down on his serve, RamK managed to win the game and go up 5-4 in the third set. The game involved one superb reflex return at the net from RamK and an ace where he changed his first serve into a slow high kicker. Good stuff from RamK.

Re: Taiwan/China/Korea Challengers- April/May 2017

Yes, a good 5 minutes. Prajnesh should have broken Roelofse earlier but some how Roelofse managed to save a ton of break points. Anyway, good to see Prajnesh win in straight sets. Strangely, RamK's sliced backhand is messing up Santillan to some extent. @Sameer Santillan seems upset about something ...

Re: Singapore Open Super Series 2017

Finally we a Super Series winner (this year) on the men's side. I hope Srikanth gets to the form that had him beating top players a couple of years ago.

Yes, I got the scores reversed. Here is the correct one as I can't edit my previous entry:

[R1] (Q) Sam MATHESON(NZL, 1499) l Haadin BAVA (IND, 859) 6-3 1-6 1-6

KU and Haadin win their doubles encounter in STB.
